7 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE PURSUIT WEEKEND

The 2024 Pursuit Men's Weekend at Carolina Point is just days away!  I hope that you are as excited about this weekend as we are.  Our staff, board members, and retreat team have prepared an incredible 44 hours for you this weekend and we can't wait to see you there this Friday afternoon!  Here are a few last minute details as you prepare and pack for a great weekend.

1. HOW TO PREPARE

We encourage you to take several moments between now and Friday to pray and ask God to prepare your heart, soul, mind and body for the weekend ahead.  There will be opportunities to worship, fellowship, feast, play, and laugh as well as opportunities to unplug, rest and be alone in creation with the Creator.  We hope you experience all that God has planned for you this weekend.

5. ARRIVAL AND CHECK IN

You can arrive anytime between 4:00-7:00 pm on Friday afternoon.  We will officially kickoff the weekend with an amazing BBQ Dinner at 7:30pm.

Directional signs will guide your route into camp, and our Welcome Team will check you in and finalize any outstanding payments.  At CHECK IN, you will receive your retreat materials (weekend journal, pen, name tag, lanyard, and a set of ear plugs) along with your cabin assignment.

The Welcome Team will direct you to your lodge, assist with your bags if needed, and give direction on where to park near your cabin.  Parking space is somewhat limited, so carpooling with other men is recommended if possible.

If you arrive late, come find one of our Welcome Team at the back of the Main Street activity center for your Welcome Kit and Room Assignment.

6. WEEKEND SCHEDULE & FREE TIME

Here's a link to the property map and the weekend schedule.  There will be an abundance of free time activities at Carolina Point including go karts, archery tag, gravity ball park, wiffleball, pickleball, basketball, swimming in the heated pool, sliding or jumping into the unheated lake, fishing in the trout pond (we mentioned it was stocked right?), frisbee golf, billiards, table tennis, darts, foosball, or just chill by the fire pit or in the porch rockers.

7. CELLULAR COVERAGE

The cellular broadband coverage at Carolina Point is spotty at best.  While this may be a blessing to many as they desire to unplug for the weekend, this may also cause stress for others.  If you need to be accessible via phone, we suggest you pass along the landline number for Carolina Point.  There will be staff answering this number all weekend and will contact you if there is an urgent need.

IN CLOSING

We are excited about the weekend and are confident that God has great plans to draw each of us to Himself in a powerful way while we are together.  We are praying for each of you as you work this week and prepare your heart for some rich time in worship and fellowship at Carolina Point.
