Email from 3GEN Ministries

Friends of 3GEN Ministries,

We pray that this email finds you and your loved ones safe.  In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, the board and staff of 3GEN Ministries want to invite you to participate in our efforts to assist those affected by the storm in Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina.

3GEN is excited to partner with Chestnut Coffee to deliver needed supplies to a community in South Asheville on Friday, Oct 4 and take a crew of relief workers to help clear blocked roads.

Our most immediate need is donations of supplies.  We will be collecting supplies at the old Burlington Coat Factory store at the corner of Laurens Road and Haywood Road (20 Haywood Road, Greenville, SC, 29607).  Our collection window will be 1:00pm until 6:00pm tomorrow Thursday, October 3rd.

RESPONSE TEAM WORK DAY
In addition to supply donations, we will be assembling a team of volunteers to deliver the supplies and working to clear roads in the area on Friday, October 4.  Ideally, we need volunteers who can bring chainsaws, gas, accessories, ATVs, etc.  Boots and strong backs are needed as well.  If you are available, please text Ed Sweeny at 864-275-7317 with your name, available equipment, and if you can drive to Asheville if needed.  There will be additional opportunities for many weeks and months ahead, so let us know if you can help.

PRAYER

Finally, we ask that you join with us to pray for God's protection and provision for those without power, food, water, and other critical resources.  Pray for comfort for those who have lost loved ones and shelter.  Finally, pray for wisdom and clarity for all the leaders, decision makers, first responders, and volunteers as they direct resources to help those in need.

If you have specific needs, please let us know by replying to this email.

Be safe, pray continually, and keep serving,

Ed Sweeny
